I Can Finally See

spring 2024

lCFS (I Can Finally See) was a packaging exploration on glasses cases. I was tasked with creating a package template, branding the company, designing the packaging, and assembling the final tactical product.

This project challenged me, and making a three piece design was something I was not sure I could do when starting the project. I gained a lot of confidence with working digitally to physically.

Ideation

I wanted to create a glasses case that appealed to those who enjoy personalization and adding more flair to the mundane. I was inspired by “what’s in my bag” videos and the trend of maximalism within the age range of 15-35 year-olds.

The 3-Piece

Package Design

The package I designed has three separate sections. The section on the left holds the glasses with a compartment. The two pieces on the right go over the compartment encasing the glasses providing protection. These two pieces slide apart to reveal the glasses compartment inside.

Colors

ICFS Branding

I wanted to create a color palette that had “something for everyone”. My design has a customization aspect, so I used colors that 15-35 year-olds gravitate towards. I also created a secondary more saturated hue of every base color. This allows for simple customization by having the user choose only one color, their favorite.

The logo is an abstract representation of an eye with the i from icfs is the pupil. I wanted a dynamic, playful, and bouncy logo for my style adventurous audience.

To add some interest to the package I added a simple wave pattern over the entire surface. This created movement and rhythm on the packages.
